How to remove write protection for pen drives

We ofter encounter an error saying "The disk is write protected" when we copy any data to USB flash drives.Well, there are many reasons for this issue(due to virus, manual registry editing or manual physical lock).

Most manufacturers provide a physical lock on the pen drive to write protect it. So whenever you receive such an error, first check that if there is any physical lock to the pen drive. If it is in locked position, then you can remove that by just unlocking the key. If there is no such lock key or if the lock key is in unlocked position then you have to do the following:

 1. Open the Registry Editor (Run-> regedit).
 2. Now go to the following path by just expanding each one.

You may need to create StorageDevicePolicies if it doesn't exist. Select the key and go to the right window. Select New->Dword(32bit) value from the menu and then name the file as WriteProtect as shown in the below picture:

Now double-click that one and change the value from 1 to 0. If it is 0, then it indicates that there is no write protection.Putting a 1 value disables writing to all the connected USB disks and value 0 enables writing.

How to recover deleted files from a hard disk

Recover deleted files from a computer even after removing from recycle bin.

We often Shift delete many files directly from our computer in order to delete it completely without sending it to Recycle Bin. We really get mad if we delete a file(s) accidentally or willingly.

What actually 'delete' does?

When we delete any file, the operating system doesn't actually delete the data, instead it marks the address of the data for replacing that with new one.  This is the principle used by the data recovery softwares.
